Because we often test new collaborative tools before they are out in the market, we are used to a little disruption. I, like many of you, was a beta tester for the new Skype 2.0 that has video added. Which I thought was great, until I started using Skype 2.0 on a regular basis.
Using Skype 1.4, I rarely had a dropped call; sometimes poor call quality, but not usually. With Skype 2.0 I get calls dropped every time. In a one hour call I was dropped 3 times. I have done a straw poll of others I talk to on Skype, and they too are all using the new version of Skype and they too all have had calls drop. I expect this kind of behavior in beta but not production software(or service)!
Anyone have any idea what is going on with Skype and are you experiencing the same issues I am?
